• Secondary: Mathematics; English; Science and ICT

Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) are outstanding members of staff, who have been identified as being able to raise standards of achievement within their own school and beyond. Applicants must have the support and agreement of their Headteacher in order to be considered.

Recruitment Event:
If you would like to be considered we are holding a recruitment event on Monday 5th October at 4pm at Spring Cottage Primary School. At the event we will discuss the application process and assessment day activities.
If you would like to attend the recruitment event please email office@tidalschools.co.uk to reserve a place.

The Application Process:
If you would like to apply you should contact Tidal Teaching School Alliance for an application form on office@tidalschools.co.uk. The form consists of two sections; section 1 is completed by the applicant and once this is completed the candidate needs to send the form to their Headteacher so they can complete section 2. After section 2 has been completed the form needs to be returned to Tidal TSA on office@tidalschools.co.uk. All fields on the application form must be completed, including the candidates school details.

Further information on the application process can be found at:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/specialist-leaders-of-education-a-guide-for-potential-applicants

Firstly, in order to be eligible, an applicant must be a school based practitioner and work a minimum of 3 days per week at the school where they are employed.

Applicants must have the support and agreement of their Headteacher in order to be considered. The Headteacher acts as the applicant’s referee and should complete a reference section in the application form which includes confirming that the school has the capacity to release them. The Headteacher will also need to provide a supporting statement showing evidence of how the applicant meets the criteria and how he or she has supported a middle or senior leader from another school or academy. Where it is not possible to draw on an example of outreach work, the Headteacher can provide evidence of how the applicant has supported a middle or senior leader within their own school and what impact this has made.

The closing date for all applications is 12 noon on Monday 2nd November 2015.

Short listing will take place on Thursday 5th November and successful candidates will be invited to a face-to-face assessment session on Friday 27th November 2015.
