Sara is an Assistant Headteacher, English Lead and Phase Three Leader at Biggin Hill Primary Academy; previously she was a Lead Practitioner for English at this outstanding school and was instrumental in achieving this outcome. Sara is extremely experienced and has taught in every year group from FS→Y6, she is currently teaching in Y6.

Sara’s main roles involve leading the curriculum, CPD and quality first teaching, This role has involved training and coaching colleagues in learning strategies and sharing best practice, she is self – motivated and committed to maintaining the high standards which exist at Biggin Hill. She is dedicated to providing the very best education for pupils, she strives to do this through ensuring rigorous systems are in place, to maintain and monitor the best standards of teaching and learning.

She has a successful track record of sympathetically supporting teachers who require additional support. This has included writing support plans, providing training, and joint observations of outstanding practice, shared planning and modelling outstanding lessons.

Sara is skilled in the use of data to identify underperforming pupils and potential patterns and trends. She is able to make effective use of this to target support and change practice, resulting in rising trends in pupil outcomes.

Sara is passionate about English and keen to share best practice. She is organized and highly effective, prioritizing her work and taking an analytical approach to action planning and leadership work. She is able to observe and monitor staff effectively, accurately identifying strengths and areas for improvement and provides high quality support to get the best from all teaching and support staff.
