Specialist Leader of Education for SEN
Eddy is the Deputy Headteacher at Ganton School and has many years experience of working with pupils with special needs and/or behaviour issues. He has worked in both the primary mainstream and special schools sector and has coached, trained and mentored staff from all areas and phases of education. He is the lead behaviour specialist at Ganton School and an Advanced Team Teach tutor and has trained staff across Hull, the East Riding and West Yorkshire.
He is an advocate of the holistic approach to SEN and behaviour, regularly supporting staff to change and improve their delivery and practice to the benefit of both the pupils and the school. Eddy sits on many SEN steering groups and committees throughout the region and is heavily involved within the local authority, leading the expansion of the City’s SEN 16+ provision as well as multidisciplinary working to improve the transition process for all SEN pupils and students aged 14 and over within the city.
He is also a member of the SEND Reforms Work-stream Team.
